Aftercare Assistant

Woodland Star’s Aftercare program is looking for one or more amazing adults to help provide a safe, loving environment for students once the regular school day has ended.

Our Aftercare Assistants must be good communicators, warm, flexible, patient, tidy, quick thinkers, who are skilled at working with school-aged children. Assistants may lead crafts, activities or games inside and out; prepare snacks, and aid students with homework. Assistants should be able to work both independently and as a member of a fantastic team.

Childcare experience, knowledge of Waldorf philosophy, and basic first-aid are desired, but we are willing to train the right candidates. Spanish speaking is a plus.

Open shifts are 2:30-4:30 Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; 3:00-4:00 Tuesday, and 1:00-4:30 Thursdays. We are always seeking on-call substitutes and evening meeting care providers. Please contact Becky Traum, Aftercare Director, at btraum@woodlandstarschool.org or (707) 888-9286 with interest.
