Thank you all who came and enjoyed a great night Saturday night at the parent/teacher party. We enjoyed great entertainment, food and company while also hearing about the great events the fundraising team has planned for this year. You won't want to miss being part of the process and attending these events, see below for further details.

Update from the All School Party on Saturday Night.
Neither rain, nor wind, nor the call of a good video could keep us away. We had a great time Saturday night and kicked off this year's fund raising program. Below is a table that shows how WSEF plans to bring in $160,000 to cover this year's budget. If you would like to volunteer for any of the events below or be a Parent Mentor, please call or email Monica Conway, pmgconway@sbcglobal.net, 935-9431 or 225-5557. You can also speak to Poppy Darby about the parent mentoring program 365-2525. Or sign up in the school office on the counter.

Afterschool
violin, viola and piano lessons offered at WSS
~ Long-time music teacher Gail Claus is coming to WSS to offer our students the
opportunity to continue music lessons at a reasonable rate and maximum
convenience. Gail will offer 45 minute
lessons on a first-come-first-served basis starting with Thursday
afternoons. Private ($160/mo) and
semi-private: 2-3 students, ($100/mo) lessons available. For an added incentive, parents are able to
rent the WSS fiolins for a refundable $100 security deposit to enable your

Recession Busters' Bash at Live Oak Charter School ~ Friday, Nov 7th, 7-9:30 PM. A post-election family style dance that includes goodies and warm drinks! In the multi-purpose roo, $10 per person, $30 per family. 100 Gnoss Concourse, Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds, Petaluma. For further information or tickets, contact Monica Conway: 225-5557.
Girls Rising ~ Specifically for 6th-8th grade girls. Discover adolescence, self-confidence, agency, creativity, compassion, mindfulness and learn to be yourself! We will: share stories, write a play and poems; perform; sing; paint; make collages; cook; hike; garden; play; serve in the community. We meet at Woodland Star on Thursdays, 1:13-2:45 PM. Girls' parents will meet twice during the sessions, dates to be determined. The cost is $100-150, sliding scale, per child for 6 session + 2 adult sessions.
